Sad, strange news out of Arizona today, as authorities have revealed that the man who jumped to his death off an Interstate 40 bridge this week was actor Isaac Kappy.
He was just 42 years old.
Kappy’s acting career never quite took off, with small roles in Thor, Terminator Salvation, and Beerfest serving as the highlights of his resume.
And yet, you may recognize his name, due to the bizarre events that occurred during the final year of his life.
At a house party in August of 2018, Kappy allegedly choked Paris Jackson, forcing the daughter of Michael Jackson to increase security in the weeks that followed out of fear for her life.
In the last months of his life, Kappy aligned himself with QAnon — a notorious far-right conspiracy theory group whose adherents believe a cabal of child molesters spearheaded by current and former world leaders is attempting to destroy Donald Trump.
Shortly after becoming involved with the group, Kappy publicly accused actor Seth Green of pedophilia.
While Kappy’s reasons for taking his own life remain unclear, he appeared to show signs of becoming increasingly unhinged in the days leading up to his death.
On Monday, the actor posted a rambling message to his Instagram page with a caption reading:
“Beware the man that has nothing to lose, for he has nothing to protect.”
“Over the course of the last week, through introspection that should have happened MANY years ago, I have come to some stark revelations about my character,” Kappy’s message began.
“It is a testament to my utter ignorance that these revelations had not come sooner.
“You see, I believed myself to be a good guy. I HAVE NOT been a good guy. In fact, I have been a pretty bad guy throughout my life.”
From there, Kappy apologized to Jesus and President Trump, claiming that he had “betrayed” both.
“I have recently been made to believe that I am the reincarnation of Judas Iscariot, the great betrayer,” he wrote.
Two college students reportedly attempted to prevent Kappy from leaping to his death, but witnesses say the New Mexico native was eventually able to “force himself” off the bridge.
Our thoughts go out to his loved ones during this difficult time.
