The Bachelorette’s production company is speaking out following the news that Lincoln Adim, a contestant on Becca Kufrin’s season, was convicted of assault and battery following an incident that occurred two years before filming for season 14 the show.
12 Times ‘The Bachelor’ Made Our Heads Explode!
“No one on The Bachelorette production had any knowledge about the incident or charges when Lincoln Adim was cast, and he himself denied ever having engaged in or having been charged with any sexual misconduct,” Warner Bros. told Us Weekly in a statement. “We employ a well-respected and highly experienced third party who has done thousands of background checks consistent with industry standards to do a nationwide background check in this case.”
The statement continued: “The report we received did not reference any incident or charge relating to the recent conviction – or any other charges relating to sexual misconduct. We are currently investigating why the report did not contain this information, which we will share when we have it.”
On Wednesday, June 13, Jake Wark, press secretary for the Suffolk County District Attorney’s Office confirmed to Us that on May 21, Adim was found guilty of indecent assault and battery for groping and assaulting a female on a cruise ship in May 2016.
Relive the Most Intense ‘Bachelor’ and ‘Bachelorette’ Scandals of All Time
“He was sentenced to one year in a house of correction, with that term suspended for a two-year probationary period,” Wark told Us. The Bachelorette premiered on May 28, just seven days later. If Admin, 26, follows the terms of the sentencing, he will not have to serve time, “but if he fails to comply with those orders or re-offends, he could be ordered to serve out the year behind bars. By law, he is expected to register as a sex offender,” Wark noted.
The account sales executive, who is still competing on The Bachelorette, was ordered “to stay away from the victim and attend three Alcoholics Anonymous meetings per week during those two years,” according to Wark.

Kufrin, 28, has not yet commented on the situation. Reality Steve was the first to break the news.

Another week, another Bachelorette-based scandal.
And we’re not talking this time about who Becca Kufrin kissed and/or who she sent home on the latest episode of this ABC hit.
Instead, we’re talking about more scandalous behavior by one of the men vying for the heart of this season’s Bachelorette.
Following the reveal that Garrett Yrigoyen had shared many gross and inappropriate Instagram messages not long before he was cast on Season 14, we can now report that Lincoln Adim was convicted of indecent assault and batter…
… mere days before the new season premiered last month.
The conviction took place on May 21, with the Suffolk County District Attorney’s office saying that Adim – who remains on the show through Episode 4 – groped and assaulted a woman in May of 2016 on board a cruise ship.
He was ultimately given two years probation for these acts.
Press Secretary Jake Wark of the Suffolk County District Attorney’s Office has said the following to the media about what transpired with Lincoln in this case:
“The judge ordered him to stay away from the victim and attend three Alcoholics Anonymous meetings per week during those two years.
“If he complies with the judge’s orders, he will not have to serve out his term, but if he fails to comply with those orders or re-offends, he could be ordered to serve out the year behind bars.”
So… a current suitor on the current season of The Bachelorette may face prison time for his inappropriate and illegal actions on board a cruise with a fellow passenger?!?
This is NOT a good look for the series.
Former Bachelor contestant Ashley Spivey wrote on Twitter Wednesday that she was disappointed in ABC and The Bachelor for permitting Adim on the program.
“I am honestly horrified that Lincoln, who was charged with indecent assault and battery, was allowed to go on the show,” wrote Ashley, adding:
“I do not understand how a serious crime like this was missed during background checks.”
It’s a pretty good question, isn’t it?
Spivey did later qualify her stance.
She said that she doesn’t think ABC purposely let someone with this history on the series; she doesn’t think this was some ratings ploy.
She just chalks it up to negligence instead.
“Let me be clear that I do not think production would ever allow this for drama purposes,” added Spivery.
“I really think it is a huge problem for whoever does the background checks into the contestants.”
By law, the district attorney’s office adds of Lincoln, without providing exact details of what the reality star did, “he is expected to register as a sex offender.”
Last month, Yrigoyen apologized after garnering backlash for Liking offensive posts on social media that mocked the transgender community, a Parkland high school shooting survivor, undocumented immigrants and more.
Kufrin came out and defended Garrett in the wake of this scandal.
“I want viewers to be open to everyone, and I want them to go through this season with me and watch my love story unfold with all of these men,” she said a few weeks ago. “Because that’s how I went into this journey.
And we think we know why she said this.

Speaking out. Actress Jameela Jamil didn’t shy away from publicly bashing Quentin Tarantino following news that he cast Emile Hirsch in a new project just two years after Hirsch pleaded guilty to misdemeanor assault on a female movie executive.
Celebs Fight Back on Social Media
The 32-year-old Good Place actress took to Twitter on Friday, June 8, to share her feelings in multiple heated posts.
“Cool. Emile Hirsch strangled my tiny female best friend until she blacked out at a party in front of dozens of witnesses at Sundance Film Festival (and was convicted) but Tarantino just cast him in a movie,” Jamil tweeted alongside a casting announcement for the upcoming film, titled Once Upon a Time in Hollywood.
Stars at Court
“INTENSE case of rich white male privelege eh? Cool. Cool. Cool,” she continued the lengthy tweet followed by a middle finger emoji.
Shortly after her first tweet, she added: “Left her with three years of PTSD and never paid for her treatment, and still hasn’t apologized to her. Not today Satan, not today…”
Jamil later called out Hirsch for not apologizing, along with the rest of those involved in Tarantino’s upcoming film based on the Manson Family murders.
“Emile Hirsch has not apologized for this heinous crime,” she wrote. “But is re-joining Hollywood’s elite. Slow clap to everyone involved in this movie. So many other actors who haven’t attacked women to choose from…”
As previously reported, Hirsch was accused of putting Daniele Bernfeld, an executive at Insurge Pictures, a subsidiary of Paramount Pictures, into a chokehold outside of Tao nightclub in Park City, Utah, in January 2015. Bernfield recalled the incident as “insanely painful and absolutely terrifying” in documents obtained by the Associated Press at the time.
The Into the Wild actor pleaded guilty to the charges in August that same year and was sentenced to 15 days in jail. The AP reported that the Hirsch, 33, entered into a plea deal with prosecutors at the time to avoid a maximum stint of five years in jail.
Beyond his 15 days in jail, his punishment included $ 4,750 in fines and 50 hours of community service.

No, Morgan Freeman, insists in a new statement:
NOT me too.
In a disturbing new CNN report that came out this week, the veteran actor was accused by eight different women of sexual misconduct and/or harassment.
The authors behind this report said they spoke to the eight women, along with eight separate witnesses, all of whom offered similar descriptions of Morgan’s behavior over the years.
For example, one production assistant on the 2017 movie Going In Style told CNN that Morgan “kept trying to lift up my skirt and asking if I was wearing underwear.”
He did until a co-star told him to stop.
Then there was a senior production staff member on the set of the 2013 film Now You See Me who told CNN that Morgan made so many inappropriate comments about her attire that she stopped wearing tight articles of clothing around him.
A CNN reporter named Chloe Melas even went on record with the charge that Morgan frequently looked her up and down and referred to as “ripe” when she interviewed the star last year.
Oh, and she was six months pregnant at the time.
In response to these accusations, Morgan said the following on Thursday:
Anyone who knows me or has worked with me knows I am not someone who would intentionally offend or knowingly make anyone feel uneasy.
I apologize to anyone who felt uncomfortable or disrespected – that was never my intent.
Not exactly the most effective apology ever, right?
He’s basically saying he did all this stuff, he just didn’t mean to offend anyone via his actions.
Now, with his name being associated with others who have been brought down by the #MeToo movement, the 80-year old has issued a far more strongly-worded statement.
He wants to make a few things clear.
“I am devastated that 80 years of my life is at risk of being undermined, in the blink of an eye, by Thursday’s media reports,” he opened, adding:
“All victims of assault and harassment deserve to be heard. And we need to listen to them. But it is not right to equate horrific incidents of sexual assault with misplaced compliments or humor.
“I admit that I am someone who feels a need to try to make women – and men – feel appreciated and at ease around me.
“As a part of that, I would often try to joke with and compliment women, in what I thought was a light-hearted and humorous way.”
Clearly I was not always coming across the way I intended. And that is why I apologized Thursday and will continue to apologize to anyone I might have upset, however unintentionally.
But I also want to be clear: I did not create unsafe work environments. I did not assault women. I did not offer employment or advancement in exchange for sex.
Any suggestion that I did so is completely false.
This is all well and good and likely true.
But no one has accused Morgan of assault.
They’ve said he treated women on set with extreme disrespect, basically viewing them as nothing but sex objects.
Is this as bad as actually assaulting them? Of course not.
However, the behavior is still part of a significant issue in society that is thankfully being addressed more and more often these days. It’s simply the issue of treating both men and women with equaly amounts of respect.
Morgan is an Oscar winner who is best known for a handful of iconic movie roles.
His most notable films include: Million Dollar Baby, The Shawshank Redemption and Batman Begins.
Let’s hope he has learned some valuable lessons from the allegations leveled against him here.

Bravo and Haymaker, the production company for Southern Charm, have broken their silence on the sexual assault allegations made against Thomas Ravenel.Hollywood’s Sexual Misconduct Scandals
“Haymaker, the production company for Southern Charm, and Bravo take allegations like these very seriously,” the network said in a statement to Us Weekly Friday, May 4. “Haymaker is conducting an investigation, and once all the information is gathered and carefully reviewed, appropriate action will be taken.”
As previously reported, the 55-year-old Bravo star made headlines on Thursday, May 3, for sexual assault allegations made by Ashley Perkins, who claimed Ravenel sexual assaulted her mother, Debbie Holloway Perkins, after they matched on Tinder in October 2015.
Ashley opened up to Us about the allegations on Thursday.Olivia Munn, Lupita Nyong’o and More of the Most Powerful Statements by Women About Sexual Harassment
“Thomas comes to pick her up, but I was concerned he might be inebriated because he was slurring his words on a voicemail he left for my mom because he was having trouble finding our house. I brushed it aside, because at this point I didn’t know anything about his past convictions involving cocaine,” Ashley claimed to Us, referencing Ravenel’s 2007 federal cocaine distribution charges. “He takes her into the house, and gives her a tour of the main house, very clinical, in a non-sexual way.”
“He takes her into the nanny’s room … My mom says, he goes into a trance, and shoves her on the nanny’s bed,” the former model alleged. “He is pulling her pants down, he digitally penetrates my mom in her vagina and butt with his fingers, and my mom is screaming at him to get off of her, and no. He is holding her wrists above her head, which explains the injuries she suffered, and the bruising. My mom screams at him, ‘You are a rapist.’”Most Tumultuous Relationships in Reality TV History
Ashley also claimed that her mother had marks on her wrists after her alleged encounter with Ravenel. The real estate agent told Us that the former politician paid her mom $ 200,000 for a settlement in June 2016 after the mother-daughter duo hired a lawyer.
Ravenel has starred on Southern Charm since its premiere in 2014. The series is currently airing its fifth season. His lawyer released a statement regarding Ashley’s allegations Us on Thursday: “My client enjoys a certain degree of fame and unfortunately has become — unfairly — a target for an individual who has, in my opinion, dubious motivations.”

G-Eazy is a free man!
The No Limit rapper has been released from custody days after being arrested in Sweden for assault and drug possession. His Swedish lawyer, Mikael Westerlund, tells The Blast that the 28-year-old was “convicted” of the charges but will serve no jail time.

It’s unclear what his punishment will be aside from paying fines — but Westerlund confirmed that Eazy is heading out of jail and planning on leaving the country ASAP.
After he was arrested at a Stockholm nightclub for assaulting a security guard, authorities found 1.5 grams of cocaine and a rolled up $ 100 bill on the performer. Eazy admitted to purchasing and using the drugs during an interview with police, as well as clocking the guard in the face.
According to the police report, the attacked guard noticed a fight going down in the V.I.P. room of the Solidaritet club Wednesday morning. The brawl allegedly began after a fan kept pestering the artist for a photo.

When the guard stepped in to stop the altercation, it’s said he was struck by the rapper 3 to 4 times, causing “swelling and pain.” The guard reportedly wrestled Eazy to the ground and was able to subdue him.
Police noted that the performer showed visible signs of drug use, including “tense, convulsive jaw muscles” and “white powder on the nose.” They described his demeanor as “insane, crazy and rabid.”

Thomas Ravenel, the lead cast member on Bravo’s Southern Charm, is under investigation for sexual assault.
According to People Magazine, which broke this disturbing story, real estate Ashley Perkins alleges that the reality star took advantage of her mother back when she went on a date with Ravenel in 2015.
Parker says her mother and Ravenel met on the dating app Tinder in October of the aforementioned year and then went out on Christmas Day, about two months later.
“We lived in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina. He was going to pick her up and they were going to go out for drinks. She agreed to that.” Parker tells People, adding that she did not witness the alleged incident.
She continues as follows:
“I helped her get ready – she wore a diamond tennis bracelet on her wrist. Her wrist was fine when she left the house.
“He left her voicemail saying he got lost on the way to pick her up. I thought he sounded a little inebriated.”
Parker, pictured below with her mother, says Ravenel “changed plans” from the original date agreement as soon as her mom got into his car.
He suggested they go see a home he had just had renovated and she agreed.
(We should note at this point that Southern Charm airs on Bravo and follows a bunch of rich and spoiled people around. It premiered in March of 2014.)
Once inside the home, Ravenel reportedly poured his date a small glass of wine.
Upon entering the nanny’s room in the residence, Ravenel “he turned on” my mom, Parker says, detailing her allegations this way:
“He pushes my mom onto the nanny’s bed, grabs her wrist with one hand, then he starts trying to pull her pants off. And she’s like ‘No, no, no, stop.’
“He stuck his fingers inside of her vagina as well as her anus.
“She told me that he held her hands back with one arm and then pulled his penis out and shoved it in her face.”
After her mother screamed “YOU’RE A RAPIST,” Ravenel leaped out, “out of his trance,” Parker says, and left the room.
After the alleged attack, Ashley claims Ravenel told Debbie “to get yourself an Uber.”
However, Debbie convinced Ravenel to drive her home because she had never taken an Uber before, and he proceeded to berate her on the way there.
Parker explains that her mom was acting very “withdrawn” until finally confessing to her daughter what had transpired.
According to Ashley, Debbie contacted a friend who was an attorney and described the alleged situation. He advised her to get legal help, she says.
Parker says they hired Gloria Allred (who has declined comment) and agreed with Ravenal in “mediation” for a settlement of $ 200,000.
Parker and her mom now live in Florida.
She says she has come forward to serve as an inspiration for other victims of sexual assault.
“This is bigger than my mom. This is bigger than me. I would like to let… other women know that Thomas is not invincible,” Ashley concludes to People.
“Or even just women who are against powerful men and think they can’t do anything. I want them to know, you can. I would like to see him off of Bravo.
“I would like for my mom not to have to worry about flipping on the television and seeing his smug mug, flaunting his lifestyle around. It’s bigger than us now.
“I’d like to see some good come out of the ugly.”
In response to these charges, a lawyer for Ravenel says:
My client enjoys a certain degree of fame and unfortunately has become – unfairly – a target for an individual who has, in my opinion, dubious motivations.
Ravenel, who was sentenced to 10 months in jail on federal cocaine distribution charges in 2007, has starred on Southern Charm since its premiere in 2014.
He shares four-year-old daughter Kensie and two-year-old son Saint with ex-girlfriend Kathryn Dennis.
