The Bachelorette’s production company is speaking out following the news that Lincoln Adim, a contestant on Becca Kufrin’s season, was convicted of assault and battery following an incident that occurred two years before filming for season 14 the show.
“No one on The Bachelorette production had any knowledge about the incident or charges when Lincoln Adim was cast, and he himself denied ever having engaged in or having been charged with any sexual misconduct,” Warner Bros. told Us Weekly in a statement. “We employ a well-respected and highly experienced third party who has done thousands of background checks consistent with industry standards to do a nationwide background check in this case.”
The statement continued: “The report we received did not reference any incident or charge relating to the recent conviction – or any other charges relating to sexual misconduct. We are currently investigating why the report did not contain this information, which we will share when we have it.”
On Wednesday, June 13, Jake Wark, press secretary for the Suffolk County District Attorney’s Office confirmed to Us that on May 21, Adim was found guilty of indecent assault and battery for groping and assaulting a female on a cruise ship in May 2016.
“He was sentenced to one year in a house of correction, with that term suspended for a two-year probationary period,” Wark told Us. The Bachelorette premiered on May 28, just seven days later. If Admin, 26, follows the terms of the sentencing, he will not have to serve time, “but if he fails to comply with those orders or re-offends, he could be ordered to serve out the year behind bars. By law, he is expected to register as a sex offender,” Wark noted.
The account sales executive, who is still competing on The Bachelorette, was ordered “to stay away from the victim and attend three Alcoholics Anonymous meetings per week during those two years,” according to Wark.
Kufrin, 28, has not yet commented on the situation. Reality Steve was the first to break the news.
Another week, another Bachelorette-based scandal.
And we’re not talking this time about who Becca Kufrin kissed and/or who she sent home on the latest episode of this ABC hit.
Instead, we’re talking about more scandalous behavior by one of the men vying for the heart of this season’s Bachelorette.
Following the reveal that Garrett Yrigoyen had shared many gross and inappropriate Instagram messages not long before he was cast on Season 14, we can now report that Lincoln Adim was convicted of indecent assault and batter…
… mere days before the new season premiered last month.
The conviction took place on May 21, with the Suffolk County District Attorney’s office saying that Adim – who remains on the show through Episode 4 – groped and assaulted a woman in May of 2016 on board a cruise ship.
He was ultimately given two years probation for these acts.
Press Secretary Jake Wark of the Suffolk County District Attorney’s Office has said the following to the media about what transpired with Lincoln in this case:
“The judge ordered him to stay away from the victim and attend three Alcoholics Anonymous meetings per week during those two years.
“If he complies with the judge’s orders, he will not have to serve out his term, but if he fails to comply with those orders or re-offends, he could be ordered to serve out the year behind bars.”
So… a current suitor on the current season of The Bachelorette may face prison time for his inappropriate and illegal actions on board a cruise with a fellow passenger?!?
This is NOT a good look for the series.
Former Bachelor contestant Ashley Spivey wrote on Twitter Wednesday that she was disappointed in ABC and The Bachelor for permitting Adim on the program.
“I am honestly horrified that Lincoln, who was charged with indecent assault and battery, was allowed to go on the show,” wrote Ashley, adding:
“I do not understand how a serious crime like this was missed during background checks.”
It’s a pretty good question, isn’t it?
Spivey did later qualify her stance.
She said that she doesn’t think ABC purposely let someone with this history on the series; she doesn’t think this was some ratings ploy.
She just chalks it up to negligence instead.
“Let me be clear that I do not think production would ever allow this for drama purposes,” added Spivery.
“I really think it is a huge problem for whoever does the background checks into the contestants.”
By law, the district attorney’s office adds of Lincoln, without providing exact details of what the reality star did, “he is expected to register as a sex offender.”
Last month, Yrigoyen apologized after garnering backlash for Liking offensive posts on social media that mocked the transgender community, a Parkland high school shooting survivor, undocumented immigrants and more.
Kufrin came out and defended Garrett in the wake of this scandal.
“I want viewers to be open to everyone, and I want them to go through this season with me and watch my love story unfold with all of these men,” she said a few weeks ago. “Because that’s how I went into this journey.
And we think we know why she said this.
Visit our section of The Bachelorette spoilers and you’ll know why as well!
Is it too late now to say sorry?
As we reported, according to screenshots shared by former Bachelor contestant Ashley Spivey, current Bachelorette star Garrett Yrigoyen reportedly liked several social media posts mocking trans people, undocumented immigrants, left-wing women, and Parkland high school shooting survivor David Hoggs.
On Thursday, on his new Instagram account, Becca Kufrin‘s suitor issued an apology for liking posts that “were hurtful and offensive.”
The Reno native claims he is an “open-minded and non-judgemental individual,” and is “sorry for any hurt, damage, or offense [he] may have caused.”

“To those who I have hurt and offended: This is all new to me. I went on the Bachelorette for the adventure and possibility of falling in love, not fame,” the reality star wrote via Instagram on Thursday, May 31. “I did not know what to expect once the show aired. I am sorry to those who I offended and I also take full responsibly for my ‘likes’ on Instagram that were hurtful and offensive. garrett_yrigs12 was my former Instagram handle and I decided to take it down and start fresh because I have learned an extremely valuable lesson and am taking steps to grow, become more educated, and eb a better version of myself.”
“I am not perfect, and I will never be anywhere close, but now I will always be more informed and aware of what I am liking and supporting, not just on Instagram, but in life,” he continued. “I never realized the power behind a mindless tap on Instagram and how it bears so much weight on people’s lives. I did not mean any harm by any of it. My Instagram ‘likes’ were not a true reflection of me and my morals.”
He added: “I am not the negative labels people are associating me with. For those who do know me, I am a sincere, genuine, loving, light-hearted, open-minded and non-judgemental individual. I like to make new friends with anyone I meet and ant everyone to find their happiness … Let my mistakes be a lesson for those who mindlessly double tap images, memes and videos on any social media content that could be many things including hurtful, degrading, and dehumanizing.”
Yrigoyen, who won Kuprin’s first impression rose on the Monday, May 28, premiere, made headlines on May 24 after Bachelor alum Ashley Spivey shared screenshots of his former Instagram “liking” memes that mocked the transgender community, immigrants, other minority groups, in addition to the Parkland shooting survivors.
Kufrin, 28, responded to the scandal while speaking to Entertainment Tonight on Wednesday, May 30. “I want viewers to be open to everyone, and I want them to go through this season with me and watch my love story unfold with all of these men,” she said. “I did things in the past that I’m sure wasn’t the best thing, but I just want people to stay open-minded to everyone.”
Arie Luyendyk Jr. Will Appear On Becca Kufrin’s Season Of The Bachelorette & UGH, Can’t We Get Rid Of This Guy Already?!
Arie Luyendyk Jr. would probably haunt Becca Kufrin‘s dreams if he could.
Not only was her ex-fiancé brought up multiple times during the premiere of The Bachelorette, it sounds like he will most definitely make an appearance at some point this season as she tries to find a new love!
The publicist explained:
“He will show up, yes. We do have a conversation and you’ll just have to see that unfold. At that point it wasn’t emotional, it was just two adults sitting down, wishing each other the best and talking through our experiences. That was our last conversation we’ve had. I knew that would probably be the last time we had a conversation, and I wish him and Lauren the best.”
Sounds riveting. As for Arie’s claims that the messy breakup was “edited” and heavily produced to make him look bad… Becca said that isn’t so:
“His actions were his own. I don’t think production really had a hand in how long he stayed or didn’t stay. I explicitly said ‘leave’ and ‘get out,’ and he could have if he wanted to. He’s a grown adult.”
ABC‘s Senior Vice President of Alternative Series, Specials and Late-Night Programming, Robert Mills, backed that up by saying:
“There was nothing done that hasn’t been done on any other season. I have to say in production and the producers’ defense, if this was so unorthodox and felt so wrong, why didn’t Arie say [something]? It’s unedited. You don’t see a cut anywhere. So why didn’t Arie say, ‘No, I don’t want to do this. This isn’t right.'”
There you have it! Sorry, Arie.[Image via Instagram.]
Every rose has its thorn…
As we reported, according to screenshots shared by former Bachelor contestant Ashley Spivey, current Bachelorette contestant Garrett Yrigoyen — who won Becca Kufrin‘s first impression rose — reportedly liked several social media posts mocking trans people, undocumented immigrants, left-wing women, and Parkland high school shooting survivor David Hoggs.
On Wednesday, in an interview with E! News, Kufrin responded to the controversy by telling the publication:
“I’ve heard a little bit about it these past couple days… I’ve just been so busy traveling around the country with press that I haven’t really been able to read too much up on it, but everyone is entitled to their own opinions, and at the end of the day I wanted to go on this journey to open up myself and have people see my love story unfold and I would hope that they would stay open and respect me but also stay open and respect these 28 guys that went along on the journey with me.”
While filming the hit ABC show, Arie Luyendyk Jr.‘s ex and her suitors were not allowed to use phones or computers. Because of this, the reality TV starlet was able to get “a much better picture of who these 28 guys” are.
“It’s different, but it’s nice in a way, because I was truly getting to know these guys for them, and hav[ing] conversations face to face with them about things that were important to me… So I feel like I got a much better picture of who these 28 guys were, as opposed to just looking on their social media and trying to make a decision of who they were by not talking to them.”
At the end of the day, Becca is going to do whatever she wants, whether you like it or not!
“People form their own opinions, but at the end of the day, I know who I am and my friends and family know the type of person who i am, and I can only hope the guys feel that same way. It’s going to be tough. I think social media is a huge presence in our lives these days. There’s no getting around that fact. It’s difficult for people to say certain things about any of these guys, and so I would really just hope that they watch the entire journey and get to know them for who they really are.”
There you have it…[Image via Garrett Yrigoyen/Instagram/Judy Eddy/WENN.]
Becca Kufrin’s journey has just begun on ABC, but The Bachelorette spoilers revealing who wins the final rose have already hit the web.
Oh yes. It happens every season, but not like this …
On May 28, Becca began handing out the roses in her televised quest for love. As we all know, however, this filmed awhile ago.
In fact, if you know anything at all about the popular ABC show, then you’re aware that Bachelorette spoilers leak like a sieve.
Filming recently wrapped, and to the surprise of no one, Reality Steve (a.k.a. the Oracle of Bachelorette spoilers) is on top of things.
Not like most year, though. More on that shortly.
If this doesn’t go without saying: The content you are about to read contains The Bachelorette spoilers, so proceed at your own risk.
Steve’s previous Bachelorette spoilers revealed that she followed her predecessor’s lead in the final episode before hometowns.
With six men remaining, she embarked on three one-on-one dates and one three-on-one date, handing out roses at the end of each.
The final four who received them appear below:
1. Jason Tartick, a 29-year-old who currently lives in Seattle, but is a native of Buffalo, New York, where his date was filmed.
Thank goodness. Reality TV needs more Buffalo.
2. Blake Horstmann, a 28-year-old sales rep for Coors, he lives in Denver, and already made quite a debut by showing up on a horse.
You could say he’s horsing around, but only literally.
3. Garrett Yrigoyen, a native of Manteca, Calif., played college baseball and currently works as a surgical technology consultant.
Either Garrett or a man with his name in the same city was engaged back in 2015, so there’s that. Just some food for thought.
4. Colton Underwood, a 26-year-old NFL free agent from Aurora, Colo., is perhaps the most controversial of Kufrin’s final four.
He’s reportedly the subject of some big drama this season, and previously dated Olympic gold medalist gymnast Aly Raisman.
We’ve also heard whispers that he tried to holler at Tia Booth, from Arie’s Bachelor season, on Instagram, so there’s also that.
There are some interesting characters this year for sure, both in the final four and in the episodes leading up to her hometown dates.
But down to business:
Pictures from Becca’s final rose ceremony in the Maldives were posted by TMZ, after Reality Steve himself declined to purchase them.
That’s right, someone actively shopped them and solicited the Bachelor spoilers god himself before turning to the celebrity news site.
They found the right bidder, and the photos were published; Garrett Yrigoyen and Blake Horstmann are Becca’s final two this season.
Garrett gets the final rose.
Becca Kufrin is engaged to Garrett Yrigoyen. Once again, the first impression rose winner from the premiere gets the last one, as well.
This is the fourth season in a row that the recipient of the inaugural rose (and kiss for that matter) ended up getting engaged later on.
It’s not a surprise, as this man emerged as a frontrunner from day one, and it doesn’t look like this information could possibly be incorrect.
This season, thanks to TMZ, there’s iron-clad photographic proof of the finale results, so spoilers are hardly even spoilers. Just facts.
How will ABC react to this?
Pretend it doesn’t exist? Come up with some wild, alternate theories as to how these images might not show what they appear to show?
Time will tell, but it looks like the cat is 100 percent out of the bag, and we’re not even 24 hours into the 14th season of the hit show.
Becca Kufrin’s upcoming season of “The Bachelorette” hasn’t aired yet, but the show filmed what looks like a finale a couple weeks ago … and TMZ’s got pics from the scene. Becca’s already revealed she’s currently engaged to one of this…
We have a couple The Bachelorette spoilers to report:
- We actually know the identity of the four men who will advance to the final quartet on Season 14.
- All 28 men who will be competing this year are very handsome!
We learned the first fact from extensive research and the second from ogling the photos below.
Indeed, ABC has released the official portraits of every suitor on Season 14, many of whom Chris Harrison describes as athletic and one who says he works as a "social media participant."
We're as confused as you are by this.
But this is your chance to scroll down and then all around to meet Becca's men, choose a favorite and read a few things Harrison has to say about them:
1. Alex, 31
2. Blake, 28
3. Chase, 27
4. Chris R., 30
5. Christian, 28
6. Christon, 31
Filming for the upcoming season is still underway, but The Bachelorette spoilers have already begun to reveal details of Becca Kufrin’s journey.
With another month to go until the season premiere, the beautiful brunette has narrowed her list of suitors to six. And we know which ones!
Thanks to a little luck, and mostly Reality Steve – who else – we are all over The Bachelorette spoilers almost as they happen these days.
The man is a god, we’re telling you.
According to Steve’s Twitter, Becca’s final six men are in the Bahamas, where the final dates before her hometown visits take place.
Obviously, he’s been wrong before, and you never really know the full story until the show airs, but this is likely accurate. Very accurate.
Without further ado, let’s get to it:
Kufrin’s top six bachelors are:
Blake Horstmann, Colton Underwood, Garrett Yrigoyen, Jason Tartick, Leo Dottavio, and Wills. Guess Steve doesn’t have his last name yet.
Hey, 11/12 names isn’t bad.
Indeed, the Bachelorette and Bachelor spoilers guru hasn’t released much about Wills, so his life story may just be harder to hunt down.
In any case, the rose ceremony – if everything follows the franchise’s typical order of things – should send two of the six packing.
Meanwhile, Becca will pack up her things and travel to the hometowns of the final four men, followed by three fantasy overnight dates.
There, Chris Harrison will invite Becca to the Fantasy Suite … with each of the three lucky gents. If she, and they, desire this, of course.
Then it will be time for the final two to meet Becca’s family, and for her to choose one at the final rose ceremony in an exotic location.
Two weeks later, Kufrin will proceed to break up with the winner, dump him with cameras rolling, then secretly get back with the runner-up.
Just kidding. Too soon.
In truth, Becca’s odds of finding lasting love may not be great, despite what we’d like to believe. The show’s track record is just bad.
On the flip side, The Bachelorette has produced more success stories than The Bachelor in recent years … and the bar is very low.
After winning Arie Luyendyk Jr.’s final rose and engagement ring, only to be stripped of both and humiliated on live TV, you can only go up.
Also in Becca’s favor? She’s Becca.
Beautiful, confident, authentic, sweet and smart, she may be the single most popular lead in the history of the franchise. That can’t hurt.
Stay tuned for more Bachelor spoilers as the season draws closer and more intel is revealed … it should be one crazy ride as always.
That’s our kind of shindig. Gwyneth Paltrow is really enjoying her laidback bachelorette party with girlfriends in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, sources tell Us Weekly exclusively.
According to an insider, the Avengers: Infinity War actress arrived in Mexico via private plane on Wednesday evening, April 12, with seven of her closest friends, including Stella McCartney. “She’s been having a great time with her girlfriends, relaxing at the beach and eating meals together,” an eyewitness tells Us. “They haven’t gotten too wild and crazy, mostly just hanging out and spending girl time by the ocean.”
Paltrow, 45, showered her guests with lavish gifts: “Each girl got a welcome bag when they arrived with white items including an initialed beach cover-up, white sandals and a personalized beach bag.”
The Goop founder — who is engaged to producer Brad Falchuk — and her pals have been spending time doing what anyone would on a girls’ trip, with perhaps one notable exception. “They all got dressed together in their cover-ups for lunch by the beach. They were toasting Gwyneth and sharing lots of laughs,” the eyewitness continues. “Then they lined up their chairs by the pool and all enjoyed the afternoon chatting and hanging out. There were butlers waiting on them, bringing by beverages and answering any requests they had. The group was low-key and just close girlfriends sharing a fun few days together.”
Paltrow posted several breathtaking photos of herself and her buddies on the beach Friday, April 13. “#henweekend” and “#heaven,” she captioned the pics.
The mother of two — she shares 13-year-old Apple and 12-year-old Moses with ex-husband Chris Martin — confirmed her engagement to Falchuk, 47, in January, two months after Us broke the news that the pair were set to tie the knot.
The Bachelor ended with Becca Kufrin's heartbreak after the audience watched her brutal breakup just weeks after her proposal.
But now, she's starring on The Bachelorette.
And, if you don't mind learning a few The Bachelorette Spoilers, you can see a list of every single man identified who is set to appear on this upcoming season.
Will Becca be drawn to their winning personalities? Their handsome faces? Their impressive bodies? Their careers?

Amanda Stanton finished her latest tour of Bachelor in Paradise last fall, but fans have questions.
Has she spoken to that cheater Robby Hayes? For that matter, is she in touch with Josh Murray? Will she answer the hopes and dreams of countless fans by becoming the next leading lady of The Bachelorette?
Finally, Amanda is speaking out and, believe it or not, answering all of those questions.
Amanda Stanton won a lot of fans on the 20th season of The Bachelor, but it was Lauren Bushnell who won the heart of Ben Higgins.
You know, for a while.
Amanda then went on to Bachelor in Paradise, where she and Josh Murray became a couple. Unfortunately, their breakup was so dramatically unpleasant that police were called.
This last season of Bachelor on Paradise didn’t do her much good, either.
Not only did she have to defend herself against mom-shamers for appearing on the show, she didn’t exactly get a happy ending.
She became romantically entangled with Robby Hayes.
Unfortunately, he allegedly became “entangled” with someone else.
Amanda Stanton tweeted a photo of Robby’s cheating to prove it to the world.
A lot of nonsense goes on in Paradise; that’s basically the point of the show. But we should all be able to agree that Amanda deserves better.
Well, Amanda Stanton opened up to Us Weekly about the many topics that have aroused the curiosity of fans.
For starters, she is so not talking to Robby Hayes.
Josh Murray, despite the drama in their past, is another story.
“I talk to Josh here and there.”
She is, at first, cautious about talking about this. She doesn’t want to give false hope to shippers.
“I mean nothing more than a friendly conversation.”
But Amanda and Josh are on what we’d call unusually good terms for a pair of exes.
She acknowledges that things were bad when they ended things, but emphasizes that things are so much better, now.
“We had such a bad breakup, and so it’s nice to just not have that drama anymore and just be cool with each other.”
Gwen Stefani wrote a whole dang song about that. (“Cool” is, in fact, my favorite song of hers)
“Because he was around my kids and we did have a good relationship for the most part. So it’s good to be on good terms.”
In fact, she and said children (Kinsley and Charlie) apparently FaceTimed Josh Murray after her return from this past season in Paradise.
But then comes the big question. The one that matters.
Those men are in her past, but what lies in her future? Might she be The Bachelorette?
Amanda shatters the hearts of fans as she sounds very certain that she’ll no longer be looking for love on camera.
“I’m done for sure.”
Heartbreaking. But she makes it clear that this isn’t sour grapes speaking.
“I’m so grateful for the opportunity, and like overall I had such a good experience and don’t regret anything.”
Still, her air of finality remains.
“But I think I’m done.”
“I’ve had my fair share of chances.”
Does she really believe that she missed her chance to find love on screen? Or is she just sick of having her heartbreak broadcast to the world?
For the record, she spoke to Us Weekly at a speed dating event, so her brand is at least still tied to the quest for love.
But it sounds to us like Amanda was mostly just being dismissive of returning for yet another season of Bachelor in Paradise.
If she got an offer to become the Bachelorette … would she really turn that down?
We’re not so sure.
