Monica Lewinsky Was Uninvited From Event After Bill Clinton RSVP’d

Don’t shade Monica Lewinsky and expect her to stay silent.

The 44-year-old motivational speaker took to Twitter on Wednesday, May 9, to reveal that an event rescinded her invitation after President Bill Clinton confirmed he would go.

Celebs Fight Back on Twitter!

“Dear world: please don’t invite me to an event (esp one about social change) and — then after I’ve accepted — uninvite me because Bill Clinton then decided to attend/was invited. it’s 2018,” she wrote. “and definitely don’t try to ameliorate the situation by insulting me with an offer of an article in your mag.”

Lewinsky, who had a sexual relationship with former President Clinton in 1998 during his time in office, has been outspoken about the affair’s impact on her life. Most recently, she made a splash for blasting a forthcoming HLN special titled The Monica Lewinsky Scandal in November 2017.

The fashion designer also spoke candidly about the relationship while giving a TED Talk in Vancouver, Canada, in March 2015. “Not a day goes by that I am not reminded of my mistake and I regret that mistake deeply,” she admitted. “In 1998, after having been swept up in an improbable romance, I was then swept into the eye of a political, legal, and media maelstorm like we had never seen before … I lost my reputation and dignity. I lost my sense of self.”

She also detailed the repercussions of the affair while speaking at a Forbes magazine summit in October 2014. “I was Patient Zero. The first person to have their reputation completely destroyed worldwide via the Internet. There was no Facebook, Twitter or Instagram back then, but there were gossip, news and entertainment websites replete with comment sections and emails which could be forwarded,” she explained. “Of course, it was all done on the excruciatingly slow dial up. Yet around the world this story went. A viral phenomenon that, you could argue, was the first moment of truly ‘social media.’”

Law Enforcement Will Be ‘100 Percent All Hands On Deck’ At Courthouse For Bill Cosby Sentencing

Whenever it happens — it increasingly looks like some time in July — law enforcement in Pennsylvania will go completely over the top to ensure that Bill Cosby and everyone involved with his sentencing is safe in the courthouse.

Sources from Montgomery County (PA) are telling media outlets that law enforcement in tiny Norristown will be “100 percent all hands on deck” for the courthouse sentencing, prepared and ready for anything.

Photos: Celebrity Scandals We Never Saw Coming

It’s important to note that there are no current threats against Cosby, but the Norristown PD is evidently concerned enough with the high tensions and worldwide interest the sentencing will bring… and they’re not going to take any chances.

Cosby uses his own personal security team when he travels to and from court, too, but the Sheriff’s office is apparently prepared to provide additional security escorts, too — especially if a judge orders it.

And you can expect him to go straight to prison processing if he’s sentenced to hard time. Deputies say he’s going to be treated just like everyone else… though his health issues may end up altering his prison sentence some when things are all said and done.

Regardless, that’s what we know so far to expect for sentencing at the Bill Cosby trial; we can all wait until sometime in July for the big, fateful day.

Janice Dickinson: I Hope Bill Cosby ‘Rots in Hell’

Janice Dickinson felt vindicated when she learned that Bill Cosby had been found guilty in his sexual assault retrial on Thursday, April 26. The disgraced TV star, 80, faces up to 30 years in prison for drugging and molesting Andrea Constand in 2004.

“He deserves every bit of 30 years and more,” the former supermodel, 63, told the Daily Mail on Friday, April 27. “I hope he rots in hell.”

The verdict hit close to home for Dickinson, who has repeatedly claimed that Cosby gave her a pill and a glass of wine before sexually assaulting her in Lake Tahoe, Nevada, in 1982. She was among the witnesses who testified at the retrial earlier the month. (Cosby’s attorney Marty Singer called Dickinson’s allegations “a fabricated lie” in 2014, prompting her to sue the comedian for defamation the following year.)

“I’ve been holding this in since 1982 and it’s slowly seeping out of me, the toxicity levels of emotion and catastrophic pain and nightmares for so very many years,” the former America’s Next Top Model judge said on Friday. “I just bounced out of bed [after the verdict] and was like, ‘Wow.’”

Dickinson told the U.K. newspaper that while she was nervous to take the stand, she refused to be intimated by the Cosby Show alum (who was once known by millions as “America’s Dad”) and his defense attorney, Thomas Mesereau.

“They don’t scare me,” she said. “I’m going to come out and I’m going to tell exactly — hand on the Bible — what happened to me, that I was brutally raped in 1982 in Lake Tahoe, Nevada.”

Still, the No Lifeguard on Duty author admitted, “I didn’t want Cosby to see me face-to-face. I was kind of hiding behind a board that was barricading his view of me. I didn’t want him to see how confident I am and how beautiful I am and how I’ve grown from a young girl into a fierce, devoted mom and a loyal woman to all women’s causes.”

Dickinson also said that she believes there are more victims who have not come forward. “There is no doubt in my mind that now we know Bill Cosby is a serial rapist, he is probably the biggest rapist in United States history, maybe the world, because the head count is 90 women,” she said. “I know I’ve personally spoken to several women that haven’t come forward and I’m sure there’s many more out there.”

Cosby maintained his innocence throughout both of his trials. The first ended in a mistrial in June 2017 due to a hung jury. A source close to his defense lawyer told Us on Thursday, “Bill Cosby will absolutely appeal the verdict.”

Bill Cosby Paid Sexual Assault Accuser $3.38 Million in 2006 Settlement

Bill Cosby paid a woman who accused him of sexual assault $ 3.38 million in a 2006 settlement, CNN reports.

Stars at Court

The amount of the settlement paid to Andrea Constand was not public knowledge until Monday, April 9, when prosecutors revealed the number in opening statements of Cosby’s retrial. The 80-year-old is being tried for three counts of aggravated indecent assault on the former European basketball star. He has pleaded not guilty.

Constand accused the Cosby Show star of drugging and assaulting her at his home in 2004. Cosby’s lawyers have claimed that he had a consensual sexual relationship with Constand, a former employee at Temple University, where Cosby was once a member of the Board of Trustees. District Attorney Kevin Steele said in his opening statement Monday that Cosby pressured Constand to take pills that impaired her after he gained her trust.

Hollywood’s Sexual Misconduct Scandals

Constand filed a police report in 2005, but Cosby was not charged at the time. A civil lawsuit between the two, in which he admitted to acquiring prescription sedatives for women he wanted to have sex with, was settled in 2006.

Meanwhile, a topless protestor attempted to approach Cosby as he walked into court on Monday. Nicolle Rochelle — who appeared in a recurring role on The Cosby Show — had painted “Cosby rapist” and various women’s names on her body and chanted near the comedian. She was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct.

Us Weekly reported on Monday, April 9, that Janice Dickinson could be among the first witnesses to take the stand against Cosby, who has been accused of drugging and molesting more than 50 women. “Janice has been told by the prosecutor to be ready to go, and could even be the first witness to testify,” a source told Us. “[District Attorney] Kevin Steele is taking a much different tactic for this trial.” The model, 63, alleged in a 2014 Entertainment Tonight interview that Cosby gave her a pill and sexually assaulted her in 1982. She and four other witnesses have been subpoenaed to testify in his retrial.

Cosby was tried on these charges once before, but a judge declared a mistrial in June 2017 after jurors could not agree on a unanimous verdict.

President Trump Is ‘Considering’ a Veto of the $1.3 Trillion Spending Bill

President Trump says he is “considering” a veto of a giant $ 1.3 trillion spending bill, citing concerns over “Dreamers” and border wall funding.

Trump says on Twitter Friday morning: “I am considering a VETO of the Omnibus Spending Bill based on the fact that the 800,000 plus DACA recipients have been totally abandoned by the Democrats (not even mentioned in Bill) and the BORDER WALL, which is desperately needed for our National Defense, is not fully funded.”

Trump’s tweet created confusion after Congress gave final approval early Friday to the spending bill, which is needed to avert a federal shutdown.

On Thursday, Trump’s budget director Mick Mulvaney said that Trump would sign the bill.

Cosby Show’s Lisa Bonet Says TV Dad Bill Cosby Had a ‘Sinister’ Energy

Lisa Bonet is speaking out about her time working with Bill Cosby as the comedian heads to a retrial over sexual misconduct allegations.

’90s TV Stars: Then & Now

In an interview with Net-A-Porter, Bonet, 50, who played his daughter Denise Huxtable on The Cosby Show and spin-off A Different World, was asked if her memories of him had been negatively impacted after more than 50 women came forward to accuse Cosby, 80, of rape and sexual assault. “No, it’s exactly as I remember it,” she said.

“There was no knowledge on my part about his specific actions, but … There was just energy,” she continued. “And that type of sinister, shadow energy cannot be concealed.”

Hollywood’s Sexual Misconduct Scandals

Asked if she sensed a darkness, Bonet responded, “Always. And if I had anything more to reveal then it would have happened a long time ago. That’s my nature. The truth will set you free.”

Bonet butted heads with Cosby on the set of the hit sitcom, which ran from 1984-1991. He famously opposed her starring in the 1987 film Angel Heart because of her nude scene with Mickey Rourke. “I don’t need to say, ‘I told you so,’” she added. “I just leave all that to karma and justice and what will be.”

As previously reported, Cosby was charged with aggravated indecent assault in Pennsylvania in 2015 based on allegations made by Andrea Constand over incidents that she claimed took place in 2004. (She alleged that he drugged her with pills that made her semi-conscious and unable to move and then sexually assaulted her.)

Biggest Celebrity Cheating Scandals Ever!

His trial ended in a mistrial in June 2017, but a new trial is scheduled to start next month. A judge is currently deliberating over whether as many as 19 additional accusers should be allowed to testify during the trial.

Cosby has previously denied all of the women’s accusations, saying that any drug taking or sex was consensual.
