Kelly Sadler, Aide Who Mocked John McCain’s Cancer, Leaves White House

A West Wing aide who was dismissive of gravely ill Sen. John McCain during a closed-door meeting last month has left the White House.

White House spokesman Raj Shah says, “Kelly Sadler is no longer employed within the Executive Office of the President.”

Sadler told colleagues last month they should disregard McCain’s opinion on President Donald Trump’s CIA nominee because “he’s dying anyway,” a remark that led to a torrent of criticism.

The Trump administration declined to publicly apologize and Trump demanded a crackdown on whoever leaked the story to the media.

The 81-year-old McCain was diagnosed in July with glioblastoma, an aggressive form of brain cancer.

Sadler apologized to the McCain family privately, but McCain’s daughter asked for a public apology.

Sadler’s departure was first reported by CNN.

Ami Brown Really Does Have Cancer, Discovery Channel Confirms

An executive at the Discovery Channel has a very simple and very pointed message for certain fans of Alaskan Bush People.

And that messages goes something like this:

Speaking to Radar Online, the network’s Executive Vice President, Laurie Goldberg, opened up for the first time this week about Ami Brown’s cancer diagnosis.

She and her loved ones admitted in July of 2017 that the long-time reality star had been diagnosed with a very serious form of lung cancer and that her prognosis was grim at best.

Since then, various members of this famous family have kept fans apprised of Ami’s status on occasion, with the latest update being an extremely sad one:

Brown has reportedly returned to the hospital.

But this doesn’t mean all hope is lost, Goldberg says:

“She is going to L.A. for a routine three month check-up but is optimistic and surrounded by nothing but love,” she also told Radar.

In this same conversation with the aforementioned celebrity gossip website, Goldberg expressed consternation that anyone out there has been doubting Ami’s diagnosis.

Do these critics really think producers and/or the Browns themselves would lie about such a thing?

“Ami’s battle with cancer is very real,” Goldberg emphasis, taking those who disbelieve her to task and adding:

“It is just disgusting that anyone would say her cancer is not real or that it was created for the show.”

We can’t entirely fault viewers for having a few questions, of course.

Reality TV in general is known for conjuring up storylines, as Jacob Roloff very recently came out and explained in a book written by this Little People, Big World star.

But still.

We’re talking about cancer here and we would never for a second wonder whether Ami and her children were actually lying about such a serious illness.

“It’s in both lungs, in the middle and sides of the lungs,” Ami’s husband, Billy Brown, said last year.

He said the cancer had been labeled as stage 3B, which is very close to the worst possible diagnosis, and continued at the time:

“It hasn’t traveled to any other organs, but that’s what they’re saying is next. Any time we talk to anybody, it’s bad news.”

Alaskan Bush People will be returning for Season 8, however, and we hear that Ami may still be part of the cast.

“The fans will get to see her journey alongside the rest of the family on the upcoming season,” Goldberg previews, adding:

“There is definitely no drama between her and anyone in the family – they love her very much and would do anything for her.”

No premiere date for Season 8 has been announced just yet.

We’ll pass it along as soon as it’s confirmed…

… and we’ll continue to send Ami our best wishes.

Mackenzie McKee Gives Heartbreaking Update on Mother’s Cancer

Mackenzie McKee has some seriously tragic news for us this weekend.

Back in January, as you may recall, the Teen Mom 3 star announced that her mother, Angie Douthit, had been diagnosed with stage four brain and lung cancer.

The family started a GoFundMe account to help cover medical costs, and in the description for the fundraiser they explained that she had tumors that “cover almost the entire brain,” and that she had several masses in her lungs.

The diagnosis was especially shocking because Angie’s always been very healthy — she never smoked, she didn’t drink, she ran marathons.

Mackenzie said at the time that she’d went to the doctor because she thought she had bronchitis.

In the months since her diagnosis, Angie has been going strong.

She’s been giving some inspirational speeches and spending lots of time with family, judging by Mackenzie’s Instagram post.

But now, in another post, we have a new update on how she’s doing.

And unfortunately, it’s bad news.

“O mom, you are so amazing,” Mackenzie begins her post. “Idk how you are touching lives all around the world of people who have never met you but you are.”

“You have such a strong message to share and you are not scared to shout it to the rooftops.”

“You don’t deserve this, none of it,” she continues. “So happy, so healthy, and so faithful to God.”

“Stage four cancer in your lungs, in your brain, and now in your bones. And not once have you questioned Gods love for you.”

Yep, you read that right — now, in addition to the brain cancer and the lung cancer, Angie also has cancer in her bones.

Mackenzie goes on to explain that they just got the bad news a few days ago, and that this whole nightmare has been “exhausting and expensive.”

So to help with some of the costs, she’s asking her fans to consider purchasing one of her “fitness at home workout programs,” the workout and nutrition guides she sells on her site, Body by Mac

To her mother, Mac writes “One thing you wish people would do is to remain healthy and to #alwaysbekind. You helped me with my #bodybymac 3 month program and have always been my number one cheerleader through this all.”

And so this weekend, if you buy one of her programs, all that money “will go towards the cost of all travel expenses and medication because you’re so good and telling people to stop complaining, get off their butts, and get active.”

“So here is to donating and getting healthy at the same time.”

It’s definitely a sweet gesture, and it really seems like Mackenzie is doing everything in her power to help her mother right now.

Remember, although we know who she is and although she starred on an MTV show, Teen Mom 3 only got one season before it was canceled, and that was back in 2013.

We know that the moms’ salaries get increased every season, and that when the shows started out, they didn’t make too much at all, considering.

For reference, Briana DeJesus reportedly made $ 20,000 for her first season of Teen Mom 2, which isn’t a lot, considering the other moms brought in around $ 300,000.

Add in those three kids of hers, and there’s a good chance that Mackenzie doesn’t have any of her MTV money left, and that she’s trying to capitalize on the fame she has with her workout programs.

We can’t blame her for that, and if she’s also using that fame to try to get donations to help her mother?

We certainly can’t blame her for that either.

Honestly, Angie’s prognosis doesn’t sound good, but it’s clear that she’s still in good spirits, and that really is amazing.

So let’s all send our best wishes to this family, OK?

Abby Lee Miller Shares Pic From Hospital After Surgery, Cancer Diagnosis

Abby Lee Miller shared a pic from her hospital bed on Saturday, April 21, four days after having emergency spinal surgery.

“So much gratitude and love for those who listened, those who looked deeper and those who leapt into action,” she captioned a photo on Instagram that showed her wearing a hospital gown and holding a hand over her mouth, with an IV drip near her wrist. “So much more I wish I could say……about how quickly your life can change at the hands of others.” She added her thanks for fans’ prayers and love.

As previously reported, the Dance Moms star, 51, underwent surgery almost a week after being hospitalized for back pain. Doctors believed that she had an infection in her spine and needed to have an urgent procedure in order to avoid being paralyzed.

Two days after her surgery Us Weekly confirmed that the reality TV star had been diagnosed with non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma, a cancer that starts in the lymphatic system.

A source told Us that doctors were “not sure yet how aggressive it is or which stage it is.”

“Abby is devastated but is strong and trying to put on a brave face,” the source said. Miller remained at the hospital as the medical staff determined her course of treatment. “She will make it through this,” the insider added.

The dance instructor had been staying in a halfway house after her early release from prison at the end of March. She had been locked up after being found guilty of bankruptcy fraud in May last year and served eight months of her one-year sentence.
