After Parting Ways With Weinstein, Tarantino’s Manson Family Movie Becomes Subject Of A MAJOR Bidding War!

Quentin Tarantino hasn’t had to think about what studio he’s going to make his movies at for over two decades.

But now that longtime collaborator Harvey Weinstein‘s career has gone down in flames, the Django Unchained director and his new Manson family murders script are up in the air.

Funny enough, when you already have Jennifer Lawrence, Margot Robbie, and Brad Pitt interested, the whole script-selling business becomes something of a seller’s market.

According to a new report in The Wrap, Tarantino is shopping the movie around to Warner Bros., Universal, Paramount, etc. — but requiring execs to actually physically travel to his agent’s office to read the damn thing!

You may recall Quentin had some trouble with his script for The Hateful Eight being leaked.

Then the studios have to place their bids, after which they have to pitch themselves to him! Damn! Apparently one smaller studio made an “aggressive” bid without even seeing the script. (We’re going to guess the rising A24, who’ve recently made waves with award-winning indies like Moonlight, The Witch, and Ex Machina. But that’s just a guess.)

Of course, Quentin has said for the past couple years that he would be retiring after ten movies. Securing the ninth Tarantino movie would go a long way toward getting first dibs on the last Tarantino movie, assuming they kept the filmmaker happy.

Innerestingly, neither Amazon nor Netflix — who have both been winning a lot of bidding wars lately — were included in the report. We’re guessing Mr. 70mm doesn’t want his penultimate movie going straight to the small screen.

What do YOU think of QT starting a bidding war for his Manson movie??

Nicki Minaj: Subject of a VICIOUS New Track from Remy Ma!

Nicki Minaj and fellow rapper Remy Ma are not friends. Not even a little bit. Not even at all.

We know this because yesterday, two new songs featuring verses from Nicki were released — "Swalla" by Jason Derulo and "Make Love" with Gucci Mane — and in both songs, Nicki slammed Remy Ma.

The disses were pretty basic, things like "every line sucks" and something about an album flopping.

But then Remy Ma turned the tables and released a seven-minute track entirely about Nicki.

And it is, as the kids would say, savage.

The song is called "ShETHER," a twist on Nas' old takedown track about Jay Z. And it is a thing of beauty.

At one point, Remy Ma raps about Nicki's relationship with Meek Mill:

"I saw Meek at All-Star, he told me your ass drop. He couldn't f-ck you for three months because your ass dropped. Now I don't think you understand how bad her ass got. The implants that you had put in her ass popped."

She also touched on more of Nicki's relationships:

"Been through mad fools, you disloyal hoochie. Now all of a sudden you back with Drake and Tunechi? After you said you sucked his d-ck, you back with Gucci. Who next, Puff, Deb or 50? You a A-list groupie."

She even touched on the topic of Nicki's brother and those rape charges. It's bad.

Hear Remy Ma air out all her grievances in the track below:

The Subject of an Iconic Protest Photo Returns for the Women’s March

When 17-year-old Jan Rose Kasmir raised a chrysanthemum to the tip of a soldier’s bayonet during a march on the Pentagon protesting the Vietnam War, Marc Riboud captured the moment in what became one of the most iconic photographs of that era.

Today, Kasmir marched once more in Washington, D.C. for the first time since the picture was taken in 1967.

Kasmir tells TIME it was the right moment to march again because she’s been shocked and frightened of how the country has tolerated and elected a leader “who has no dignity, who has no integrity,” she says. “I see things happening that absolutely amaze and disgust me. I think right now we’re in some kind of, I don’t know, psychotic episode of American history. It’s just so outrageous.”

Now 50 years after she marched on the Pentagon, the self-described hippie and peace pilgrim joined protesters in the capital for the Women’s March on Washington.

She’s come a long way since she marched as a teenager. The famous flower power photo of Kasmir shows what she later described as “overwhelming sadness” over realizing the members of the National Guard, blocking the protestors from reaching the Pentagon, were just young boys being told what to do.

The photo landed in newspapers across the world and has been a mainstay in history textbooks and photographic retrospectives ever since.

But Kasmir says she didn’t know the picture even existed until at least 20 years later, she says, when her father picked up a book of Magnum photographs at an airport. She wrote a letter to Riboud to identify herself, and interest in her started trickling in.

Learning about the photo’s popularity showed her that her actions could make a difference. So after she finishes a book she’s working on, Kasmir says she plans on traveling to schools and college campuses to tell young people it’s never too early to make a difference. “I think that everybody right now is in a state of shock,” she says. “We have to do something with this energy. What’s important is we can’t just let it fizzle out.”
