Tyler Baltierra Shows Off INSANE Weight Loss!

There have been a whole lot of changes for Catelynn Lowell and Tyler Baltierra these past several months, right?

And as you likely know, not all of them have been good.

Last fall, they decided it was time to expand their family, and Catelynn actually did get pregnant pretty fast. Unfortunately, she suffered a miscarriage shortly after announcing the news to her family (and to the Teen Mom OG film crew).

She’s dealt with depression and anxiety for years, and the miscarriage sent her into a tailspin that resulted in two separate six-week visits to a treatment center in Arizona.

In March, she left her second rehab stint, and she’s been home since — and thankfully, it seems like she’s doing much better these days.

As for Tyler, who struggled with his own grief over the miscarriage on top of holding down the home and family clothing business while Catelynn was gone, it looks like he’s been feeling a lot better too!

Judging by a new photo he shared on Instagram, he’s looking a lot different, too!

DANG, right?!

“Hard work is paying off!” he captioned the photo. “It’s been 6 months since completely changing my eating habits, I dropped 40lbs & now it’s time to cut it all up with these workouts, BOOM!”

He added the hashtags “crushing these personal goals” and “it feels great,” which is nice.

Then, as you can see in the photo (because of the text and also because of the evidence), he’s already seeing progress with his ab muscles.

Tyler has never been a heavy guy, quite the contrary — he’s always been pretty skinny.

But sometime in the past year or so, his metabolism did seem to slow down, and he started looking a little fuller in the face, which he himself frequently mentioned on social media.

Back in October, he announced that he had “a major dadbod,” but that “I just haven’t decided if I care yet hahaha.”

Tyler Baltierra Weight Loss

Around New Years though, like so many of us, he decided he did care, and he switched up his diet.

He started dropping weight fast — by the beginning of February, he said that he was already down 35 pounds.

Judging by this new post of his, the goal was to lose 40 pounds altogether, and now that he’s done it, he’s going to start working on building muscle.

And judging by the comments on the post, a whole lot of his followers appreciate what they’re seeing.

An insane amount of people complimented his looks here, which is more than fair — as we’ve said, he’s obviously looking good.

“Taking dad bod to a whole new level!” one commenter joked.

“Good job Tyler,” another wrote. “Besides getting back into shape, exercise is so important for mental stability. I applaud you.”

That’s a good point, because on top of all the bad feelings brought on by the miscarriage, we know that he was also diagnosed as bipolar recently.

He’s said that he wanted to try working on things naturally before starting on any medications, and while there’s definitely no shame if he ends up needing meds, exercise and a healthy diet certainly can’t hurt.

Let’s see, what else … a ton of people admitted that they thought Tyler was Justin Bieber at first when they saw this photo in their Instagram feed, which is hilarious but understandable.

Of course, things couldn’t be all positive and lighthearted for long — plenty of his followers felt the need to tell him that Catelynn should be the one working out instead.

Some even suggest that he should leave her. Because of abs.

Somehow, we doubt that will happen, and even if it did, this isn’t a story about Baltierra divorce rumors.

It’s a story about how Tyler is feeling himself, and rightfully so.

Congrats, bud!

Catelynn Lowell and Tyler Baltierra: Actually Divorcing?!

Catelynn Lowell and Tyler Baltierra have been together for a long time.

A really, really, really long time.

Forget being high school sweethearts — they’re actually middle school sweethearts, if you can believe it!

They got together when they were just twelve years old because, as Tyler explained in that book they released a few years back, Catelynn had “the biggest tits in seventh grade.”

But it doesn’t matter why they got together, because they’ve obviously formed a deep, loving relationship.

They’ve been through so much together, including but certainly not limited to the abusive, drug-fueled marriage of his father and her mother and the birth of Carly, the child they placed for adoption.

Things were rocky between them for a while during those teenage years, but they stayed together and now they’re married with a daughter, Nova, and they’ve been open about their plans to expand their family.

Unfortunately, it looks like they’ve entered a bit of a rough patch in the last few months.

Catelynn had a miscarriage back in the fall, and both she and Tyler had a hard time dealing with it, understandably.

She struggled so much that she contemplated suicide, and when she realized how bad things were, she decided to spend six weeks in a treatment center in Arizona.

Tyler was very supportive of that, but when she decided to go back for another six weeks shortly after coming home … well, that was a bit different.

All of this went down on the last Teen Mom OG season finale — about three weeks after coming back, Catelynn told Tyler that she was still struggling and thought another rehab stay would be the best thing for her.

He urged her to try dealing with things at home first, since Nova had a hard time going without her mom for so long during her first trip to rehab.

But she’d already made up her mind.

In a surprisingly candid chat with his sister, Tyler complained about Cate’s decision, and he even compared her leaving for multiple trips to rehab to his father being in and out of his life when he was a child.

He said that he’d told Catelynn that going back to Arizona might be the best thing for her, but that trying treatment at home would be the best thing for their daughter.

Her response to that, according to Tyler?

“She’ll manage.”

He honestly seemed a little disgusted by her attitude about Nova’s wellbeing, and many fans were as well.

He was so upset that during that conversation, he even told his sister that maybe he and Catelynn weren’t right for each other anymore.

It was the second reference to a possible divorce in that single episode — earlier. she’d told him that maybe he should just leave her, since she’d been having so many problems.

Not a great sign, honestly.

But the episode aired, and Catelynn and Tyler tried their best to prove that these days, they were doing a lot better.

There have still been some pretty concerning signs though.

One was a tweet Tyler wrote last month in which he wrote that even though he was lying in bed next to his wife and listening to his daughter sleeping on the baby monitor, he still felt “so empty and so alone.”

Another has been the poetry he’s been sharing on social media, which is all pretty dark and has honestly made it seem like he could perhaps be suicidal.

But a couple of days ago, he shared a new poem … and if we were Catelynn, we’d definitely be feeling a little upset.

In this poem, Tyler called himself “that pathetic f-ck up who got famous just for f-ckin his girlfriend & gettin her knocked up.”

“That motherf-cker ain’t sh-t,” he continued, “that motherf-cker’s gotta take a hint, he’s gotta get it together if he wants his life to fit.”

“That motherf-cker’s gotta get a job even though I doubt that he could, & he’s gotta leave that broad if he ever wants to be heard.”

So … that’s not great.

In the caption for this post, he explained that these were the kinds of things he hears from people — from his haters, if you will.

It sounds like he doesn’t actually believe these things, he’s just turning insults around because he thinks it’s “ironically motivating.”

Still, if you take this and add in the other developments from the past week, things aren’t looking too great for the Baltierras.

As you may have heard, there was a big fuss because fans noticed that on Catelynn’s Instagram, she lists her last name as Lowell instead of Baltierra, her married name.

The thing is that her name has always been Catelynn Lowell on Instagram, and the name thing got more attention than a much more interesting little tidbit, which was that for a little while, she actually unfollowed Tyler.

Besides that, they didn’t spend Mother’s Day together — she was in Florida and he was in Texas.

He didn’t even write a big gushy message about her for the holiday, which, if you’ve followed this couple for any length of time, you know is very, very strange.

There’s been so much going on to point to a possible split that Catelynn felt the need to address the rumors.

In a statement, she wrote that they aren’t getting a divorce, and that “couples go through ups and downs, that’s normal life.”

“We are a solid couple that will work through anything life throws at us!”

Which is even more suspicious, because while she did say they aren’t getting a divorce, she definitely implied they were going through some issues.

Come on, Baltierras, pull through!

Amber Baltierra: Tyler Baltierra’s Sister Enters Rehab for 3 Months

Teen Mom OG viewers will recognize Amber Baltierra, the sister of Tyler Baltierra.

While Tyler has recently discussed the fact that he is bipolar, Amber has her own troubles. Hers, it seems, have been getting worse.

And now it is revealed that she will be checking herself in to a 90-day stint in rehab. But why?

Amber tells fans that she is going away by sharing a couple of (filtered) photos of her children, writing on Instagram:

“These two. They are my rock. My motivation. My inspiration.”

That’s exactly what we want to hear from any parent.

“The reason I breathe and wake up every day.”

At times, her message slips from being about her children to being directed at her children.

“Mommy loves you [two] more than you guys may know right now.”

She says that she is doing this for them.

“You both deserve nothing but the best and I will give that to you.”

Amber Baltierra Kids 01

In talking about how much she will miss her kids, she reveals how long she will be away.

“I’m gonna miss you these 90 days.”

That’s a very long time. But she knows that they will be okay.

“I know dad and everyone else will keep you busy this summer.”

Her thoughts will always be with her children.

“Just know I love you both with every fiber in me.”

This step, which she is taking for herself, will also help her to be their parent.

“When mom gets home she’s gonna be the best woman I can be and an even better mom.”

Teen Mom fans already understand that Catelynn Lowell’s mental illness does not make her a bad mom. So surely they can understand that Amber’s troubles don’t meant hat she loves her kids any less.

Amber Baltierra message

She does not explain why she is entering rehab, but she does write:

“I’ll pray for your comfort and happiness everyday I’m not with you.”

That is so sweet.

“Show the world [you’re] my babies and you guys are strong and can get through anything.”

And she shares some words of inspiration with them:

“Because well, you got Baltierra blood and it don’t get stronger than that”

Amber Baltierra Kids 02

Her estranged husband, Billy Wade Elkins Jr., tells RadarOnline that Amber Baltierra will undergo treatment at a Texas rehab facility. And she’s leaving very soon.

“She’s going to Texas. She leaves Friday.”

Her father, Butch Baltierra, had already confirmed that she would be doing a stint in rehab.

Though Amber did not specify why she is entering rehab, it is reported that this may be for relationship issues as well as alleged drug use.

We hope that this experience helps her.

(Also, check out this throwback that she shared of her and Tyler)

One insider claims to RadarOnline that, in their opinion, Amber is going to rehab as a sort of … vacation?

“I think it’s an excuse to ditch her responsibility as an adult.”

They say that she is no genuinely trying to change.

“Not to really get any help.”

This source does not expect to be overwhelmed by the results of Amber’s 90 days away.

“I’d be very surprised if she came out changed for the better.”

Amber Baltierra twitter profile pic

This insider also thinks that it may be some sort of stunt.

“Amber in my opinion is only going to therapy for attention and what it does for the show.”

Overall, this person clearly does not think highly of Amber.

“She’s just irresponsible, immature, so maybe it’ll get her act together.” Yikes.

We wish Amber Baltierra the best of luck during her rehab stint.

We can only imagine how much she will miss her children. She’s planning to be gone until August, folks.

And while we’re sure that Tyler understands, Catelynn Lowell only returned from rehab last February. Now, his sister is entering a facility.

It’s good that they’re getting help, but he has to be missing these important figures in his life while they’re away.

Tyler Baltierra: Is He Going to Rehab Next?!

Tyler Baltierra has struggled with his mental health for a long, long time.

Catelynn Lowell has problems of her own too, of course, and there's definitely a focus on hers on Teen Mom OG, but fans will know that Tyler hasn't had it easy, either.

He and Catelynn both grew up in the same kind of toxic environment, after all, and they both had a very hard time after placing their daughter for adoption when they were teenagers.

For the past few months, Tyler has been becoming more and more vocal about how bad things have gotten for him.

But are they so bad that he'll head off to a treatment center like Catelynn did?

1. A Rough Beginning

Tyler baltierra is mad
Tyler has always seemed close to his mother, Kim, but we can’t really say the same for his father. Butch Baltierra has been in and out of prison for Tyler’s entire life, and if he hasn’t been in prison, he’s been on some kind of probation.

2. The Truth Hurts

Tyler baltierra with butch
Butch even told Tyler once that he loved cocaine more than he loved him. Can you even imagine how damaging that must have been for Tyler?

3. A Suicide Attempt

Tyler baltierra teen mom og
An especially heartbreaking little tidbit about Tyler was that he tried to commit suicide when he was only 12 years old. This is very dark, but he said that he hung himself, and when he didn’t die immediately he began having second thoughts and was able to get himself free from the noose.

4. Just Heartbreaking

Catelynn lowell and tyler baltierra image
He also met Catelynn when he was 12, and the two began dating. A few years later, she became pregnant, and they made the difficult decision to place the child for adoption so that she would have a better life than they could provide for her.

5. Too, Too Sad

Tyler baltierra and catelynn lowell photo
In what many people consider to be the most heartbreaking moment on all of Teen Mom, Tyler and Catelynn both cried after their first daughter was born, and they begged nurses to take her away so they didn’t become too attached.

6. After Carly

Cate lowell and tyler baltierra
In the years after being 16 and Pregnant, Catelynn and Tyler had many ups and downs. They got engaged, they got un-engaged, they nearly broke up after she lied to him about some other guy she’d been talking to. They started jobs, they talked about career goals, he went to New Orleans for a while to try to be an actor.

Catelynn Lowell to Tyler Baltierra: Why Don’t You Just Divorce Me?!

Over the course of the past year, Catelynn Lowell and Tyler Baltierra have endured challenges that would put any marriage to the test.

Catelynn suffered a miscarriage that exacerbated existing mental health problems for both her and Tyler.

Lowell checked into rehab three times, and while she says the treatment helped, there's no quick fix for mental illness.

Now, she and Tyler are coping with the challenges of addressing their ailments while still attending to the needs of their daughter – and their marriage.

And as Teen Mom OG fans were reminded this week, it hasn't been an easy process:

1. Happier Times

6. A Difficult Admission

Catelynn Lowell and Tyler Baltierra: We’re Going to Have Another Baby!

It’s no secret that Catelynn Lowell and Tyler Baltierra haven’t been having the easiest time in life recently.

Their latest string of hardships is basically their entire storyline on this season of Teen Mom OG.

Last summer, things seemed to be going so well for them: they were having fun with their children’s clothing business, Tierra Reign, and it looked like she was starting to come out of her depression a bit.

They both looked happier together than they had in a long time, and they even decided to start trying for another baby.

Unfortunately, shortly after Catelynn learned she was pregnant, she suffered a miscarriage, and it was extremely tough on both her and Tyler.

He’s said multiple times that even though that baby was never fully formed in the womb, it was fully formed in their hearts, and that’s how they’re grieving the loss.

Shortly after the miscarriage, Catelynn began contemplating suicide, and so she checked herself into a treatment center.

Before completing treatment, she checked out early in hopes of spending Christmas with her family, but she quickly realized she wasn’t ready for that, and so back to rehab she went.

After she did complete that round, she spent a few weeks at home before once again heading back to treatment to get her meds sorted.

She also said that she needed to work through some trauma she experienced in her childhood, which was definitely for the best.

Even just watching a heavily edited MTV reality show filmed during parts of her childhood, we’d definitely recommend counseling for having gone through that.

She returned home at the end of February, and since then, she’s been taking every opportunity to raise awareness of mental illness and how difficult it can be for the people who suffer from it.

In one interview, she revealed that she’d recently been diagnosed with PTSD. and that she also has panic disorder and depression.

And in this new interview done on Kailyn Lowry’s podcast, she’s revealing even more about the current state of her mental health.

“I feel way better,” Catelynn said, explaining that she’s on a whole new set of medications now.

“I did genetic testing and found out that the medication I was on for five years doesn’t even work for me,” she told Kailyn. “So they put me on different medications and they seem to be working really well.”

On top of that issue, she said that her problems all stem “from the trauma in my past, so I’m going to have to keep digging deep into that.”

As for her reasoning behind sharing so much of her recent struggle on Teen Mom OG, she said “I think it needs to be out there.”

“That stigma needs to go away because people need to talk about it. It’s out there and it’s real and it affects people, even normal people, people on reality TV, moms, etc.”

Tyler, who was also there for the interview, added that “A lot of people will comment on social media and they’ll just say the nastiest things and it’s all through ignorance because they don’t really understand the disease or understand the illness.”

“They keep thinking, ‘Oh, you’re depressed. Just get up and get a hobby and fix it,’ and it all comes out of pure ignorance.”

“The more we talk about it,” he continued, “the more educated people become about it and will lesson that stigma.”

Then in some extra sweet news, they revealed that they’re still planning on having more children.

“I want more kids,” Tyler admitted. “I definitely do.”

Catelynn confirmed that “We definitely want more kids, especially after the miscarriage and stuff.”

“We’re kind of not rushing into things right now, because we were there, and then I had the miscarriage, and then I just went downhill, so I want to make sure that I’m healthy and happy.”

She said that she’s still working on herself, which is wonderful, and that if/when they are ready to try for another baby, it will be “awesome.”

It does sound like she’s in a much better place these days, and that she knows she needs to do a lot of work on herself before trying to get pregnant again.

And really, what more could we ask for?

As always, best of luck, Baltierras!

The Hollywood Gossip

Tyler Baltierra: Catelynn Lowell’s Mental Illness is Not My Fault!

Hasn’t Tyler Baltierra been through enough lately?

In case you haven’t been keeping score, he really, really has.

Things have been ridiculously rough for the past couple of months, as we’ve been seeing on Teen Mom OG and as he and Catelynn Lowell have been revealing on social media.

Last fall, he and Cate began trying for another baby, and she quickly became pregnant, but as we’ll see in next week’s episode, she had a miscarriage not long after they began announcing the good news to family.

We don’t know the exact timeline yet — we assume it’ll all become more clear as the season goes on — but it’s easy to imagine that the miscarriage led to her worsening depression.

In November, she made a statement about how she’d been thinking of various ways to kill herself, and afterwards she checked into a treatment center.

Tyler was extremely supportive of her decision, but just before all this happened, he sent his father, Butch, off to rehab for his lifelong struggles with addiction.

So all during that time, he was concerned about his father and his wife, he was dealing with all the emotions from the miscarriage, and he was also taking care of his and Cate’s daughter, Nova, by himself.

It can’t be easy for him right now.

And unfortunately it looks like some people are going out of their way to make things even harder.

OK, so Jenelle did an interview on a podcast last weekend with some people named Vince and Noel — this is the interview in which she admitted to doing drugs during her last pregnancy.

We’re not sure if they talked about Catelynn and Tyler during the podcast, but it looks like Noel made this post on Facebook last month:

Catelynn depression joke

As you can see, she’s making light of Cate’s depression, which simply is not cool, especially not now that Cate is having such a hard time with it.

Earlier this week, Tyler saw the screenshots of the post and tweeted them, writing that “This is the most ignorant, vile & insensitive thing I have ever seen. To mock my wife’s suicidal ideation & depression is just sickening to the core!”

He tagged Noel and the other people involved in the podcast and told them that “you’re part of the reason Mental Health has the stigma that it does.”

She defended herself by saying that she has depression herself, and that she uses that kind of humor to deal with it, which kind of makes sense.

But still, she doesn’t know Catelynn, and she was joking about her on social media. It’s understandable why Tyler was so upset.

After Tyler’s tweet, he and Noel had an exchange, and it seems like she deleted some of her tweets. Here’s a screenshot of part of one:

Noel tweet

So that part where she wrote “Do you want to take responsibility for Cait’s mental health?”, that’s the part we’re going to talk about now.

She attached a shot of Tyler’s infamous comments about not wanting a “heifer for a wife,” which, yes, was obviously not his greatest moment.

And he responded with a lengthy statement of his own.

“I take full responsibility for what I say,” he began. “This conversation was constructively edited to appear more insensitive than it actually was. We have addressed this many times before, but I will explain it once again.”

Tyler statement

Tyler said that during that conversation, Catelynn told him that “she doesn’t desire a ‘muscle headed tool’ because that’s not attractive to her & I responded.”

“We started a diet together,” he continued, “and asked to hold each other accountable to our commitments. We have been together for 12 years, so there isn’t too much we won’t say to each other.”

“Yes, I can be abrasive with my delivery. Yes, I can be ignorant with how my delivery impacts other people. Yes, I make mistakes. But I own up to them.”

But still, Tyler said, “to state that I am the cause of her mental health struggles is yet again, another very ignorant opinion.”

“Her mental health struggles derive from the chaotic and unstable upbringing we both endured. We are both actively working on those struggles.”

He finished by telling Noel that he understands she’s getting a lot of hate for her comments, “but attempting to play ‘tit for tat’ & scorekeeper with me is quite a pathetic approach to justify your insensitivity.”

It’s a pretty great statement, right?

And he’s definitely right — for anyone to try to say it’s his fault that Catelynn has depression is just completely ignorant and hurtful.

Good on him for standing up for himself, and for explaining that perhaps we don’t know the ins and outs of his marriage or Catelynn’s complex mental health problems.

It’s just sad that some people need that explanation.

Tyler Baltierra Praises Catelynn Lowell After Visiting Her in Treatment

Tyler Baltierra penned an emotional and sweet message to wife Catelynn Lowell as she continues treatment for mental health issues.

The Teen Mom OG star, 26, announced on Snapchat on February 10 that he would be visiting his wife, who entered treatment in Arizona for a third time in January, during the facility’s Family Week.  Baltierra, who shares daughter Novalee, 3, with Lowell seemed downcast in the clip, saying, “It’s going to be a super, super long emotional week and a pretty long day. Yippee.”

But the trip to see Lowell seems to have gone better than he anticipated. Following his visit, the reality TV star shared a photo of the high school sweethearts on Instagram on Friday, February 16, and wrote, “Seeing this gorgeous woman & all the work she has done has given me such hope, a feeling of peace, and unconditional love that is hard to explain with words. It was a very emotionally intense Family Week Program, but I know that our love & commitment towards each other will persevere through anything this life throws our way.”

“I’m so proud of you Babe & I can’t wait until you finally come home so I can just hug you & hold you for as long as I want. You are worthy…You are strong…You are beautiful…You are loved!” the Tierra Reign CEO continued. “Thank you for not giving up on your life.”

Baltierra continued to reflect on his relationship with the Conquering Chaos author, retweeting a fan on Saturday, February 17, who praised him for sticking by Lowell: “Marriage & relationships aren’t always sunshine & rainbows. I believe love is not a feeling, it’s a choice. A choice to sacrifice for that person, a choice of dedicated commitment to another & understanding the selfless acts that are required from both to maintain serenity.”

The MTV star also looked back on his experience dropping his father, Butch Baltierra, off to rehab to get help with his addiction issues. Retweeting a sneak peek of the upcoming Teen Mom OG episode, he tweeted, “Wow…that was intense. I never realized how hard it was going to actually be dropping my dad off to rehab. You would think growing up with him in & out of prison my whole life, that leaving him would be easy…it’s not when you have a damaged inner child literally screaming.”

Baltierra has been open about his own experience with depression and his personal struggles. On February 5, he shared an emotional message on Instagram where he told fans, “We’re humans, we’re allowed to have bad days, hard times & weak moments. Don’t be ashamed of what makes us humans special. You’re loved. You’re worthy.”

Tyler Baltierra: Cheating Allegations Resurface Following Tearful Confession

Last night, Tyler Baltierra posted an Instagram video that’s earned him a good deal of praise from Teen Mom OG fans.

In the clip, Tyler comes clean about struggling with mental illness and admits that he’s going through a challenging time.

Baltierra doesn’t go into much detail with regard to the nature of his difficulties, and now, some Teen Mom OG fans believe there’s good reason for that.

Ever since Catelynn Lowell checked into rehab to be treated for her own mental health issues, rumors that Tyler is cheating on his wife have been spreading like wildfire on social media.

For reasons that aren’t entirely clear, many TMOG obsessives believe that last night’s tearful message is a prelude to a cheating confession.

A source tells Radar Online that Tyler is well aware of the infidelity rumors and he’s “really upset” and “pissed” that fans are making a hard time for his family that much more difficult.

“He said ever since Cate has been in rehab, the rumors have started because he’s out doing things on his own, and people don’t seem to like that,” the source tells Radar.

“He said, ‘It’s like everyone wants me to sit on my ass depressed until she comes home. I have to work on myself too. I have things to get done, for us.'”

According to the insider, a frustrated Baltierra added:

“It’s okay for me to have a life. I can’t even go to a damn concert and say hi to people without cheating accusations. It’s stupid.”

The source continues:

“It’s been hard on him. He misses her. He’s just not used to this scrutiny.”

Catelynn checked into rehab back in November after revealing to her Twitter followers that she’d been struggling with suicidal impulses.

On January 17, she checked back into treatment and has remained there in the weeks since.

Those who know Baltierra best say that while the separation has been hard on him, he would never cheat on Catelynn.

Now if only he could convince his fans of that.

Tyler Baltierra Reveals Mental Health Struggles In Heartfelt Message

It’s been a difficult year for Teen Mom OG stars Catelynn Lowell and Tyler Baltierra.

Back in November, Catelynn checked into rehab to receive treatment for trauma and other emotional issues.

She revealed to fans that she had been coping with thoughts of suicide, and she went public with her struggle in hopes of removing the stigma surrounding mental illness and encouraging others to seek help.

Now, Catelynn’s husband, Tyler Baltierra, is following her lead by opening up about his own struggles with depression and anxiety.

In a heartfelt Instagram video posted last night, Baltierra revealed that he was experiencing a “bad day” and hoped

“Sometimes, you just don’t even really know what to say to your children. I don’t ever cry in front of [my daughter] Nova or anything. I don’t want her to feel any of that,” he explained in the video message.

“You have good days, and then you have bad days. And today is just a bad day.”

Tyler explained that he had doubts about sharing the video with his 2.2 million followers, but decided that he couldn’t pass up the opportunity to offer help and support to his fans.

“But, I know I’m not the only one feeling like this. So if you’re in that same boat as me, just hang in there and you’re not alone and talk to somebody,” he said at one point.

He further explained that he was posting about his own issues not to seek help, but to assure others that they’re not alone in struggling:

“I’m posting this because I think it’s important for people to not feel alone in their struggles. We’re humans, we’re allowed to have bad days, hard times & weak moments,” Tyler shared.

“Don’t be ashamed of what makes us humans special. You’re loved. You’re worthy.”

Tyler went on to say that he doesn’t expect all of his fans to understand his struggle, but feels that if even one person is helped

“If I can at least connect with one person through this & let them know that they aren’t alone in their struggles. It will make being vulnerable worth it #KeepFighting #KeepTalkingMH,” he wrote on IG.

The hash tag refers to the social media effort to get young people talking about mental health in a therapeutic fashion.

As reality stars, Tyler and Catelynn will always face questions about whether they’ve truly earned their level of influence.

But no one can deny that they’re using their platform to try and make the world a better place.

Tyler Baltierra struggled to hold back tears while discussing his mental health struggles in a video message shared on his Instagram account on Monday, February 5.

“Sometimes you just don’t even really know what to say to your children. I don’t ever cry in front of [my daughter] Nova or anything. I don’t want her to feel any of that,” the Teen Mom OG star, 26, told his 2.2 million followers. “You have good days, then you have bad days. And today is just a bad day.”

Baltierra continued, “I know I’m not the only one feeling like this. So if you’re in the same boat as me, just hang in there and [know] you’re not alone and talk to somebody.”

In the caption of the video, the MTV personality admitted that he considered deleting the post from his page but ultimately decided to keep it up in hopes that it may help others dealing with similar personal struggles. “If I can at least connect with one person through this & let them know that they aren’t alone in their struggles. It will make being vulnerable worth it,” he wrote.

“I’m posting this because I think it’s important for people to not feel alone in their struggles. We’re humans, we’re allowed to have bad days, hard times & weak moments,” Baltierra added. “Don’t be ashamed of what makes us humans special. You’re loved. You’re worthy.”

The reality star and his wife, Catelynn Lowell, who share 3-year-old daughter Novalee, have both been open about their mental health as of late. In mid-January, she tweeted that she was “going back to treatment” for a third time. The 25-year-old’s battle with postpartum depression was previously documented on Teen Mom OG in 2016. Days after Lowell returned to treatment, Baltierra shut down rumors that he cheated on his wife of two years. “I should just ignore this & yes, since I know it’s not true I shouldn’t be paying attention to it,” he tweeted on January 27. “BUT I’m a very stubborn individual & have always got a thrill from seeking out justice & facts.”

Tyler Baltierra: Catelynn Lowell Is Ruining My Diet!

Back in December, Catelynn Lowell left rehab after six weeks of intensive treatment for trauma and other emotional issues

Shortly thereafter, Lowell checked back in after apparently deciding she wasn’t ready to return to her often hectic life.

It’s been reported that Catelynn recently suffered a miscarriage and has been struggling to cope with the crushing loss.

That still hasn’t been confirmed by the Baltierras, but whatever the case, we know that Lowell is prioritizing her mental and physical health these days after going through a very difficult time.

The recovery process has reportedly required Catelynn to make some major changes to her diet.

Sources say she’s excited about the prospect of turning a corner with regard to her health.

And one person who’s reportedly very happy about Catelynn’s new commitment to nutrition and weight loss is her husband, Tyler Baltierra.

As you may remember, Tyler was accused of fat-shaming Catelynn after he made some brutal comments about her weight on an episode of Teen Mom OG.

“That’s a big-ass quesadilla, it has a lot of chicken,” Baltierra said while Lowell was eating.

“It’s your body, you could do what you want. Obviously I don’t want no heifer for a wife!”

He later added:

“Would you want to be married to some big heifer?”

Sadly, it seems these days, he’s not being much more supportive.

Balterra has lost some weight in recent weeks, and he recently revealed that he did so despite – not because of – Catelynn.

Recently a Twitter follower asked Tyler if he’s concerned that losing weight so rapidly might cause Catelynn to feel insecure and exacerbate her depression.

He basically responded that he couldn’t care less:

“The only one responsible for managing Cate’s emotions… is Cate. I have goals too that I refuse to put on the back burner,” Tyler tweeted.

Shortly thereafter, he accused her of sabotaging his diet:

“When I started my health kick Cate didn’t want to join me and kept ordering pizza and I had to eat my salad while staring at the beauty of that perfect looking, cheesy pepperoni greatness!” Baltierra tweeted.

Tyler Baltierra Refutes Catelynn Lowell Cheating Rumor. HARD.

Tyler Baltierra would like your attention.

Does he have it?

Because the Teen Mom OG star has something he would like to say.

And that something is this:

He is not, in any way, shape or form, a cheater.

The steady boyfriend of Catelynn Lowell was forced to come to his own defense on Saturday after being alerted to a blind istem on some website called Crazy Days And Nights.

The item was shared a day earlier and read as follows:

This Teen Mom star has been cheating on his significant other for almost a year.

Eventually, when she starts having a clear head she is going to catch on and that could finally push her over the edge to suicide.

Because Lowell has been checking herself in and out of rehab over the past couple months due to a bit of mental instability, it was rather easy for readers to connect these dots.

This post is clearly implying that Tyler has been disloyal to Catelynn.

“Is this a joke or?!??! It’s kinda hard to tell these days,” Tyler initially Tweeted in response.

However, after other fans told Baltierra that the same website lobbed the same allegation his way last August, Tyler shot back far more forcefully.

“Okay, so yes, I should just ignore this & yes, since I know it’s not true I shouldn’t be paying attention to it,” he Tweeted, adding:

“BUT I’m a very stubborn individual & have always got a thrill from seeking out justice & facts. SO, Mr. @entylawyer here I am calling you out!

“Let’s see evidence.”

tb tweet

“Enty Lawyer” actually replied pretty quickly to this challenge, writing online:

“I haven’t revealed anything about you in quite some time. You seem defensive though. Anything you care to share?”

This account also looped in Farrah Abraham and Simon Saran, Baltierra and Lowell’s Teen Mom costars.

Shot back Tyler, quoting the website’s earlier blind item from last summer:

“So what is this then? A “blind item” revealed? Are you saying your sources are Farrah & Simon? Good lord help us all! It’s sounding more & more crazy, the more you talk.

“So please keep going…indulge me.”

blind item 2

The 26-year old added that he had nothing to fear…

… and wasn’t going to let his good name be sullied.

“A panicked person would keep their mouth shut & hope this all slides under the radar.

“Not me, I’m marching in & calling it all out! Because I have NOTHING to hide nor worry about.”

Baltierra has been trying to keep busy while his wife remains in treatment, posting footage on Snapchat this morning that featured him renovating the couple’s home, including putting in a luxurious master suite.

Despite rumors to the contrary, he insists he is not leaving Catelynn.

And it looks like Simon Saran is intent on helping Tyler keep busy, considering the trash he’s talking on social media.

“Are you for real with all that!? Coming from the dude that sleeps with Farrah & actually allowed that info to be filmed & aired for the world to see!?” Tyler wrote to his nemesis today, adding:

“God you really have lost your touch with your insults. I’m gonna need a little more from you Simon. Try again.”

Simon’s reply?

“Much rather sleep with her than what you have to sleep with. Trust me.”

Simon Saran tweets

Why do we have a feeling we have not heard the last from these two?

And why does that make us giddy and gleeful to see what’s next?
